For more than 26 years, I’ve dedicated my career to helping Estheticians build successful businesses, create meaningful client relationships, and elevate the professionalism of the esthetics industry.
I began my esthetics journey at a time when skincare was rooted in self-care, long before social media, online shopping, and “medi-spas” changed the landscape of the beauty industry. Back then, Estheticians built their businesses through trust, education, and personal connection, values I still believe are the heart of a successful practice today.
From Court Reporter to Esthetician
In 1999, after years as a court reporter and stay-at-home mother, I realized my passion had shifted. I no longer felt called to the high-pressure legal field and instead decided to pursue a long-held dream: creating a wellness-centered business dedicated to helping women feel confident, cared for, and supported.
That decision led me back to school to become a licensed Esthetician.
Shortly after earning my license, I opened my first day spa in California. The business grew successfully and continues to operate today under the same name more than two decades later. After relocating, I opened a solo esthetics practice and continued expanding my work as an educator, consultant, and industry advocate.
In 2008, I earned the prestigious NCEA Certified credential, and in 2019, I was honored with the NCEA Lifetime Certified designation.
Educator, Consultant & Industry Advocate
In 2006, I founded SpaBizBoard, the first private subscription-based online community created specifically for spa professionals. Long before Facebook groups and social media forums became common, SpaBizBoard provided Estheticians with a trusted space to learn, ask questions, and connect with experienced professionals in the industry.
During its 11-year run, SpaBizBoard became a respected educational resource for Estheticians, instructors, trainers, manufacturers, and spa owners across the country.
Through my consulting, speaking, writing, and mentoring, I’ve had the privilege of helping Estheticians navigate both the art and business of skincare — especially during a time when the industry has rapidly evolved and information online has become increasingly overwhelming.
